Experience the ultimate silence in the beautiful wilderness of central Sweden during a multi-day canoe tour. Canoeing over beautiful lakes and fairytale rivers you will experience nature in all its beauty. There is a good chance that you will spot moose, deer and other wildlife.
Spend the night on one of the romantic islands and enjoy the setting sun by a campfire.
Our canoe tours have been carefully planned to maximize the nature experience.
In addition to canoeing, it is also necessary to occasionally move over land. This is for example to go from one lake to another lake. For this purpose you will receive a canoe trolley as standard equipment. The number of land movements and the nature of the movement determines the level of difficulty.
The canoe package is including transfer to the starting point and possible pick-up at the end point, canoe, paddle, life jacket, spade, rope, sponge, garbage bag, canoe trolley and all park and shelter permits. You will also receive clear directions in text and on a map.
Do you have your own camping gear? If not, you can rent equipment from us. The prices of this equipment are shown on our price list.
No time to go shopping? Then you can purchase a food package from us. The prices are on our price list.
If you go without a guide, you must pay a deposit for the materials to be used. The deposit is 1000 SEK per person or 2000 SEK per family. If the materials are returned clean and in good order, you will of course get the deposit back.
From our location in Bålstad (Bålstad Ulriksdal 1, 673 96 Åmotfors) you will be taken to the starting point of the tour. You can park your car in our parking lot for free during the tour. The van that will take you to the starting point of the tour leaves at 9:00 AM. It is therefore recommended that you are near our site a day before departure.
The night before and the night after the tour you can spend the night in our tent field. This can be done in the tent that you use during the tour. We have hot showers and modern compost toilets. It is not luxurious but for 1 night it is fine. Costs for an overnight stay are 50 SEK per person per night.
Canoeing is an activity that requires moderate physical effort. An average level of fitness and good health is required to enjoy the tour to the fullest. Of course, participants must be able to swim!
You can start every day (provided there is still enough space in the vans).
Before departure there is an instruction that you are required to attend. During the instruction, paddling technique is practiced, and Swedish right of public access, safety and care for nature are discussed. The route is also discussed.
During a land transfer, the canoe is placed on a canoe trolley. To prevent damage to the canoe and/or the canoe trolley, it is better to have as little weight as possible in the canoe during the land transfer. Furthermore, a light canoe is of course easier to push forward. It is therefore advisable to take a good backpack or a waterproof bag that can be carried on your back.
