Family Canoe tour
We organize family canoe holidays with us in Sweden. This holiday is especially intended for parent(s) who want to experience a fantastic adventure in beautiful Sweden together with their child(ren) (at least 8 years old). The Family canoe tour is a canoeing package including food, tent, guide/instructor and of course a short canoeing course and bushcraft course. We have a special program for the children (in which the parent(s) can of course also participate).

There will be 3 days of canoeing, so you will sleep "outside" for 2 days. Every day we paddle for a few hours. Once you have arrived at a suitable bivouac spot, the child/parent/bushcraft program begins. So we paddle from bivouac to bivouac.
On the third day you will be picked up and taken to our location in Bålstad. Here there is an outdoor cooking program and dinner together.
The last day there are archery and abseiling activities. The end of the program is mid-afternoon of the fourth day.
We take into account the "outdoor" level of the participants.
The tours start from our location in Åmotfors. It is possible to park your car for free in our parking lot. You can also spend the night before and after the tour for free on our tent field. This can be done in the tent that you use during the tour. We have warm showers and modern compost toilets. It is not luxurious but for 1 night it is fine.
Look at 3/4 days for the correct price. We have 3 different prices. One including transfer from Oslo Gardemoen Airport (2 hours drive), one including transfer from Arvika train station (Sweden) or Kongsvinger train station (Norway) (40 minutes drive) and one without transfer.
Canoe tour with a guide
Experience the ultimate silence in the beautiful wilderness of central Sweden during a multi-day canoe trip. Canoeing across beautiful lakes and fairytale rivers you will experience nature in all its beauty. There is a good chance that you will spot moose, deer and other wildlife.
Spend the night on one of the romantic islands and enjoy the setting sun by a campfire.
Our tours have been carefully planned to maximize the nature experience.
The guided tours are supervised by one of our instructors, groups are a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 12 people.
During the guided tour you will be taught a very good basic of canoeing, but you will also receive basic Bushcraft. Learn to make your fire without matches, learn to build your bivouac, look at the possibilities that nature has to offer, but also at the vulnerability of that same nature. Learn to enjoy but also protect.
Canoeing is an activity that requires moderate physical effort. An average level of fitness and good health is required to enjoy the tour to the fullest. Of course, participants must be able to swim!
Bushcraft Course
Survive in nature with the resources you have available at that moment. The Bushcraft course, which is linked to a multi-day canoe trip, is a great experience to better understand the possibilities of nature. And what's even better: turn your impossibilities into possibilities! Every day is full of techniques that you practice together, such as making a bivouac, orientation, making cutlery and making a fire. It is hard work to master them.
All techniques will be explained step-by-step by our instructor and there is even the opportunity to learn new things if the participant requests it.
What certainly remains after this experience is a close bond with the other participants, characterized by the fact that you have gained a good dose of experience!
Custom Package
Create your own ultimate Swedish Adventure. A multi-day canoe trip with, for example, an outdoor cooking clinic or an extreme abseil from a height of 70 meters. Or, build your own sauna or combine a hike with a canoe trip.
